We are very excited to announce that we will have a coach next year. Rusty Miller, currently the coach at Duke University, will be joining the team as the coach next fall. Welcome to the team Rusty! Rusty has already been helping us recruit for the team. We have had many perspective student cyclists come to visit Furman to come here in the fall. To help with recruiting, Furman has given the cycling team several part-tuition scholarships. We look forward to growing the team with Rusty and with the scholarships!

The team has started this new academic year with a bang. We are working on having at least one member of the team ride a century every week for the months leading up to the beginning of the WBL. So far the team has successfully completed rides of 150 miles and 103 miles in the last two weeks with 12,500 ft and 7,700 ft of climbing respectively. Check out Strava for the details! We are planning our rides for the coming weeks and welcome route recommendations.
